HW2 had a nice button (or was it a checkbox) that would speed up single-player greatly: it would harvest all the remaining resources from the map immediately, so you wouldn't have to leave the computer sitting for an hour picking up all the little dustclouds once you'd completed all your objectives and blown up all the enemies. The option only worked at the end of the mission, of course.

I'd like to see this in HW-SDL. It's purely a convenience in single-player and doesn't really affect gameplay in any way.

Auto-harvesting is supported with r759 (bug fixed in r761). It is configurable by the user in Homeworld.cfg:

Code:
[New HWSDL Options]
CollectResourcesAtEndOfMission    TRUE

When enabled, any remaining resources on the level are added to the player's resource pool when they hyperspace to the next level. There are two in-game prerequisites for auto-harvesting to happen:

1) The player must have at least one resource collector in their fleet.
2) There must be no offensive enemy vessels left in play.

Support for time compression was added in r756.
