Does anyone have any experience with Turbo Pascal and C? I've got some Turbo Pascal code that can extract WISE installation packages (which is what Homeworld uses) that I'm hoping I can use to produce a Macintosh-native installer application. (Unfortunately all the other code I've found that deals with WISE extraction doesn't work with the version used by Homeworld.)

I'm having some issues with missing IO functions (fairly basic and replicable) but there are also well as some syntax issues that ptoc doesn't handle very well and my Pascal isn't very good. Hoping I can get some advice/hints for dealing with it...

Ok, since I have some free time from Uni I picked up the wise extractor (a manual conversion from Pascal to c) again (among a few dozen unfinished projects :( ) and I have it now at attempting to inflate the compressed data (via zlib that is). It complains about a too big distance in the compression - which I don't know whether the error message is misleading or wise uses different compression properties than the ordinary zip compression or whether I'm missing something else ;)

Would be great if someone could give me a hand and shove this beast out the door :)
