Mornin'

Cool. A new release. :) We should try and be a bit more vocal about this one. :) :)

A few things we really, really, really need to update are the README and INSTALL files in the Linux folder. It's all still about 0.3 :(

I know I need to add a chunk about how to compile in the Movies, so I guess I'm just as much to blame as anyone.

Using Ubuntu v11.04 on a Dell latitude laptop.
Binary dated Feb. 25 2007 (an update for linux would be nice...)

The sound is a problem, speech is accelerated about 2:1 and music is just groans and squeaks.
On this machine I have an Intel 82801CA-ICH3 with CS4205 Sound Card.

Frequent crashing during fast or complex screen action, and sometimes when no screen action is visible (sorry, I know that is not terribly helpful.)

I've reached mission 5 - Great Wastelands and will post some of the failure messages sortly.
I cannot compile, since I do not have access to either the source nor the build tools on this machine.

File radeon_swtcl.c function r100_swtcl_flush line 325
Rendering was 9 commands larger than predicted size. We might overflow command buffer.

drmRadeonCmdBuffer: -22. Kernel failed to parse or rejected command stream. See dmesg for more info.

-------------------------
This is about 3-4 minutes into mission 5, I've just received two full Resource Collectors (RC) at the mother ship, moved these two RC's to a new location for further collection while a new Resource Manager is under construction. Assembly completes and the new RM emerges.

At point of failure, I had just selected the new Resource Manager (RM), as it emerged from the mother ship.
Often, the failure occures without my specific action, but just after the new RM is about to take up holding position.

Note the Rendering warning, line 22. This is a frequent warning. Sometimes it is also "13 commands larger".

I am unable to locate the file 'dmesg'. If it exists, please tell me where.

That binary is very old. I've just actioned your SVN access request so I'd compile a version from the latest code and start playing/debugging that instead. :)

I have SVN installed and HW v907 downloaded. Thanks and I'll be back with questions after I get the compile environment working, if not before...
