I've never even played this game before. xD

I'm a big linux fan, though I dual boot windows because I know I need it for gaming.

The binary runs really well for me, but I want the one that plays the movies too so I can get the storyline as I play through. I've been booting into windows so far, and having to do that just to play gets a little annoying.

Ubuntu amd64.

Howdy!

It looks like I goofed when I promised a new binary release with movies enabled this weekend.

It seems that the code that allows HW-SDL to play avi files in-game is out of date due to changes in the ffmpeg library.

As I now recall this has happened before... and it seems that it could happen again... every time the ffmpeg libraries are upgraded by that group.

So right now I think no one can play movies until the avi code in HW-SDL is tweaked again.

Aw, shucks. Wouldn't it still work if you linked it with libavcodec.so.52? It wants .51 when I try to run it, but there is no .51 on my system.

Hi.

Just found the modified AVI code on my machine. (From some time ago.)

I'll test it and submit it some time this week.

I really need to update the movie code as I hate it. :( But not much free time lately.

Hi.

Time is a bit flexible at the moment. :)
I've checked in the modified code to play movies with the new ffmpeg. Please see if it works for you and let me know.
