Hi everyone,
Gbx's release of homeworld remastered today revealed that only the hw2 engine was remastered and hw1 was poorly ported over to the hw2 engine. In this process gearbox dropped many crucial game mechanics from hw1:

E.g. formations, tactics, physical ballistics instead of rng, collisions, kamikaze, inertia etc etc.

Looks like these aspects were never planned to bring over to the hw2 engine, so the fans of hw1 are seriously unhappy.

So, what about going the other direction? Porting the beautifully remastered HW1 graphic and audio assets over to homeworldSDL engine, combining the best of both worlds?
