Running ./bootstrap on a clean (freshly check-out) HomeworldSDL project in homeworldsdl/Linux folder fails with 'macro `AM_PATH_SDL' not found in library' and 'possibly undefined macro: AM_PATH_SDL' messages. I got this problem on both Linux and MinGW. Another thread (http://homesource.nekomimicon.net/sourceforum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=373&p=1707&hilit=AM_PATH_SDL#p1707) posted more than two years ago also mentioned the same problem.

However, running ./bootstrap.old before ./bootstrap can overcome it.

HomeworldSDL revision: 921
Linux version: Debian 3.2.51-1 i686
autoreconf version: autoreconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.69

Has anyone investigated on this problem?

Seems that bootstrap misses the following statement:

Code:
 cp stuff/acinclude.m4 ../
