This is confusing the playing pieces for the game :)
1.) The built-in scaling factors have various vessels larger than their stated size in order to even be seen onscreen next to the immensity of the Mothership. See attachments. Frigates are tiny things, and fighters literally look like mosquitos next to a human wnen near Big Mama.
2.) The important thing to Relic was, as always, to have good gameflow and if you watch the ambassador returning to the Mothership in Mission 4 NIS 4 you'll see it performing exactly the trick you're talking about... and it does it a bit more slowly than it launched.
"Pathing" for launched ships... or weapons... is a potentially very good thing but I'd regard it more as a wishlist item than an actual game flaw.
(But it would also solve the carrier launch issue as well, no?) |

I'm not sure why this was closed. It's a relatively minor cosmetic issue certainly but it is clearly wrong as the screenshots demonstrate. |

I was trying to assign it to a wishlist category and wondered where it went this morning :) ...
Wishlist, as the only apparent solutions are to either introduce scaling changes on the fly during dock/launch or to introduce pathing into dock/launch.
It is true that on-the-fly scaling or pathing would both be desirable additions to the game.
I will locate the missing wishlist option... :) |
