Summary 0000038: Research ships can get very confused when linking up
Description Sometimes research ships get very, very confused about how to link up and form strange, twisted groups. Fortunately it's rare.

In the attached image, the research ships have finished linking up believe it or not and are rotating about the centre of mass. This is an extreme example; usually you end up with a much tighter knit group with only one or two obvious anomalies.

 This can be stopped by issuing a cancel order to the first lab module... implying that the issue is that the other modules can never "catch up" to the first module.

And of course this gets much worse if the lab is actually supposed to be on the move... thus the WTF tangles when a lab array is following a moving mothership.
