| Description | It's not uncommon for the Level 10 Supernova Research Station to be impossible to complete because the objective "Destroy all defense forces" does not register the fact that all forces have been destroyed. Very annoying. | |||||||||||

Possibly an issue with the difficulty scaling. The defence forces consist of: 45 HeavyDefender (defense fighters) 4 IonCannonFrigate 1 StandardFrigate (assault frigate) but the assault frigate is allowed to become 2 if the difficultly warrants it. I don't think I've seen it in my save game that I can recreate this issue and would be insulted if the game didn't think I needed it as an obstacle! |

Actually I now think this is possibly due to the "carrier is escaping" NIS kicking in. I think that while it's running anything that's part of the defence force which gets destroyed is not correctly removed from the tracking list. As an example, on one occasion, after I destroyed everything the tracking counter still had 7 ships left. On a different occasion holding back my forces and attacking en masse after triggering the NIS resulted in successfully dropping the counter to 0. |
